PRESTEIGNE has great cause to celebrate as it has now become the only town in the UK to have not one, but two investment clubs.

The newly formed Marches Investment Club met last week in the town's Radnorshire Arms Hotel and held its inaugural meeting.

Of the 20 maximum membership places permitted by law, 18 folk joined the new club immediately, leaving only two spaces left.

Leigh Harling-Bowen, newly elected chairman of the club, who lives in Norton, reported how privileged he felt to have been elected by the new membership.

He hoped that the intended friendly rivalry between the new Marches Investment Club (MIC) and the long established Presteigne Investment Club, (PIC), would continue for many years to come.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Marches Investment Club, or in taking one of the two remaining spaces, should call Jonathan Wilson on 01544 262712.
