THE Teme Valley Hunt held it's annual Boxing Day hunt meet from the Knighton Hotel Car park.

A large crowd gathered for the event.

Joint Hunt Masters Frank Bright and Tim Gunning welcomed everyone to the event. Frank said "I first got involved in the Teme Valley Hunt when I was ten years old and although I've only ridden a horse once I have been involved an followed it ever since."

He went on to thank Tim and Teme Valley members for all the support they have given him during his time as joint master and wished everyone good luck for today's hunt. Tim thanked all the farmers and landowners for allowing them to use their land and everyone who supports the hunt. He also said "It was important to remember that 100 years ago men from these valley went to fight in the Battle of the Somme to ensure we enjoy the life we do today."

David Savage huntsman then led the hounds and over 30 horses and riders up Broad Street, Knighton before going hunting just outside town.
