ON the weekend of December 17 and 18 members of the Knighton and District Rotary Club manned a stall at the Harry Tuffins store in Knighton.

Wearing Christmas hats and cheeky smiles Rotary Club members helped inspire the shoppers at Harry Tuffins to put their hands in their pockets and donate to charity.

President Patrick Smith said yesterday "We were very pleased to raise over £440 from the collection which will go towards supporting the Wales and Midland Air Ambulances, as well as local charities. We would like to thank everyone who donated money at this busy time of year. We are proud to have supported over 20 charities and good causes in the last 12 months and the generosity of the community of Knighton makes that job much easier."

Collection organiser Rotary member Ivan Jones added " We would also like to thank the management of Harry Tuffins in Knighton for allowing us to collect for charity every December". Rotary Club members would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone all the best for the festive season and for 2017.
