VIC Jones, a well known city sportsman who died earlier this year, had run the bottle stall at Holmer Church participating in fundraising events for decades.
His wife Kath, with the help of her family, kept up the tradition at the church's annual Christmas fair with a record 200 bottles on the stall raising £200.
This amount was added to the other funds raised on the day at the well supported fair and organisers were pleased to announce that a total £1,500 was raised for church funds.
