THE new Knighton Bumps and Buggy Walk Group meet every Monday 10am to 11am at the Knighton Hospital followed by Bumps and Baby Group at clinic from 11am to 11.30am.
The first walk was very popular with the group going for an hours walk around town. The mums with babies from nine weeks to seven months old had the chance to meet new mums from Knighton, Clunton, Lingen, Llanbister, Llanddewi, Evanjobb and other areas.
After the walk there was a Halloween weaning party which gave information and advice on introducing solid food to babies.
The walking group is a Powys Health Board public health initiative being delivered throughout Powys for antenatal and post natal parents by Powys Health Visitors and Midwives. It is to encourage socialising and promoting healthy lifestyles whilst having opportunity to meet with Community Health Team.
