IT has been a particularly 'sweet' start to the autumn term at St David's Centre with pupils helping to raise over £160 for charities, including Macmillan and Jeans for Genes.

In true 'Bake Off' style pupils and staff took to the kitchen; creating a range of sticky, sweet and delicious treats to sell at their recent Macmillan coffee morning.

Pupils 'rose' to the challenge, hitting the streets and selling cakes to local businesses around the centre, as well as to their parents in a coffee morning held at the school.

This event gave the pupils opportunity to show off their new uniforms, which were introduced in September and have helped to bring a real sense of community to the centre.

The 'icing on the cake' during the event saw three Year 10 pupils receiving their first reward for good behaviour; they are the quickest pupils to achieve this success in the centres history and have been setting the bar for good behaviour across the centre as they embark on a brighter future in education.
