THE Old Railway Line Garden Centre, located in Three Cocks between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, has raised £2340.67 for Macmillan Cancer Support from recent fundraising efforts.
Manager, Katie Cleary said "Macmillan is a fantastic charity that we support every year and we are delighted to have raised so much money for them again this year! Every year we enjoy taking part in The World's Biggest Coffee Morning and staff also participated in a 'sponsored slim' over the past four weeks and a 'charity car wash' last Saturday. As it stands we have raised £2340.67 this year which we hope to increase a little more when all sponsorship money etc is collected.
"Many thanks to customers who attended our Macmillan Coffee Morning and fundraising day, had their car washed or sponsored us during our sponsored slim.
"Macmillan is a charity close to the hearts of many staff here at the garden centre and restaurant and we enjoy supporting this worthy charity every year. Next year we hope to raise even more money."
