THE Hereford and Mid Wales Philatelic Society are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion they held a dinner at the Left Bank, Hereford on October 5. Guest speaker Dane Garrod gave a display of Royal Family correspondence which was enjoyed by all present.
The next meeting is on November 2 when guest speaker Grace Davies will present a thematic display entitled peace.
The society meets at St Martins Parish Centre, Ross Road, Hereford at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month.
New members are welcome and there is ample parking available.
Members of the society collect stamps, post cards and postal history and have several displays each year by visiting speakers.
