KNIGHTON Primary School gardening and eco club put a bid in for £100 from the Keep Wales Tidy - Natural Buzz Project.
The clubs were successful and after doing research into many plants chose a selection of insect attracting plants.
The plants were bought from Medway Nursery in Penybont with the school getting 18 plants some that were donated by the nursery.
The gardening and eco group, working with their teachers and parent helpers then set about preparing the ground and planting the new plants in a small garden very near the school. The plants included buddleia, ribes, climbing hydrangea and an echinacea.
