EATON Bishop Parish choose to celebrate HM the Queens 90th birthday with a tree planting ceremony on June 18.
A red oak was planted by Mrs Margaret Main who also was celebrating her 90th year, and an elm tree (part of the Great Elm Experiment Conservation Group Program) was planted by Mr Gerald Mason a long residing resident of the parish.
This was followed by a 'bring and share' picnic, all washed down with locally produced cider, perry and apple juice.
The event was well attended by the local residents, parish councillors and the parish tree warden.
