FRIENDS of Herefordshire Samaritans based at 44A Berrington Street, Hereford, who fundraise for the charity which offers emotional support to anyone passing through crisis, held an open day at Fawley Court Gardens, Fawley, near Ross-On-Wye on June 19.
The gardens, owned by Mr Jeremy Clay, who generously offered the use of them, are beautifully laid out on both sides of the road at Fawley Court. Tea and cakes were served in the beautiful courtyard.
Hannah Wilks, who is the new head gardener, has designed and planted a new vegetable garden which people were invited to look round.
The event raised £2,155, despite inclement weather, which will go towards running costs.
