Presteigne celebrate Queen's birthday with a street party
THE Chamber of Trade in Presteigne organised a Birthday Celebration Street Party for the Queen’s 90th Birthday on June 11.
At the event people brought along a plate of food or a picnic, lots of local businesses were selling drinks and food, there was a fancy dress competition, cake fit for a Queen competition, street entertainers music and more.
The winners of the cake fit for a queen competition were (adult) June Thursfield and (child) Jacob Bird.
The fancy dress winner was Isabella Jones and the best dressed window competition was won by Spar who were given a £25 Ducks Nest voucher, 2nd Lorna’s Sandwich shop and 3rd Rose Cottage Floral Creations.
