HEREFORD in Bloom volunteers are busy getting the city ready for the Britain in Bloom judges visit on July 15 and this trio (from left) Kevin Knipe, Paul Hodges and Peter Hill are pictured tackling a mass of weeds on Whitecross roundabout ready for replanting.
The city centre beds and planters are already looking good, especially those by the Old House and in St Peter's Square which have a red, white and blue planting theme to mark the Queen's 90th birthday.
The Bloom group, in partnership with the city council and BID is working hard to retain the city's Gold Medal status.
More volunteers are urgently needed to help clear up some of the worst neglected spots around the city.
