THERE was a good attendance at the society's Annual General Meeting, competition evening and Bourse on June 1. The president Nick Nelson said that he had a thoroughly enjoyable year in office and that the society is going from strength to strength.
Photographed is the competition winners, Frank Bennett on the left who won the Founder's Postal History Trophy with a display of the Allen Shipping Line and John Henshall on the right who won two trophies, The President's Cup with a traditional philately display of The Mozambique Company, 1895-1937 and the Shingler Thematic Trophy with a display entitled National Parks.
The society meets at St Martins Parish Centre, Ross Road, Hereford at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month. New members are welcome. Members of the society collect stamps, post cards and postal history and have several displays each year by visiting speakers. There is ample parking space.
