MEMBERS of Holmer Church Men's Group enjoyed a lesson on Hereford’s history when they visited Hereford Town Hall as guests of the Mayor, Councillor Charles Nicholls, one of his last duties before his term of office ended.
Highlight of the visit was a tour of the vaults where members were fascinated by the collection of priceless artefacts and ancient charters, some dating back to the 13th century and the story of each of them told by the mayor’s officer, Roger Stokes who has served more than 30 mayors in his long career with the city council.
