MEMBERS of Women's Institutes across Herefordshire are busily knitting cuddly teddies following an appeal to the organisation to help provide them for the children's ward at Hereford County Hospital. So far over 100 have been delivered.
Being given a soft cuddly toy helps the young patients relax when they arrive for treatment in the children's ward and when supplies were running low the county's 62 WIs responded to an SOS from the hospital.
Said Jane Jenkins, administrator at the county WI office said "We have had a marvellous response from WIs right across the county and more teddies keep arriving."
