WOMEN across the country are invited to take part in Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club's National Ladies' Shooting Day. Taking place on June 11 at at Hereford and Worcester Shooting Ground, the event brings together women with a range of shooting experience and enables them to embrace the art of clay pigeon shooting.

This ground is situated between Redditch and Bromsgrove and there is a real sense of heritage and history in the unique Scottish style club house.

The event welcomes women with all levels of experience including complete beginners. In fact, founder of Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club, Victoria Knowles-Lacks wants to see more women come and try their hand at clay pigeon shooting for the first time, it's the perfect opportunity for both total newbies or experienced shots who are looking for a good fun day out and the chance to meet new like minded shooting friends.

Established in 2015, National Ladies' Shooting Day's mission is to bring women together and get them out clay shooting. Last year the event saw 1,086 women attend at 22 different locations which is a fantastic result for a first time event, but the club hope to surpass this figure this year.

As mentioned, the day will allow women to either try their hand at clay pigeon shooting for the first time, or improve on their existing skills. Joining the women on the day will be fully qualified instructors who will show participants the ropes. The price of the event (£39.50) will also include gun hire, 30 cartridges, 30 clays and ear and eye protection, so there will be no hidden or surprise costs on the day.
