JOHN Kyrle sixth form students recently performed outstandingly in the Senior Maths Challenge Event, a national maths competition organised by the UK Maths Trust. Twenty Year 12 and Year 13 students gained awards with Joe Rae being awarded a gold certificate along with an invitation to compete in the 'Senior Maths Kangaroo', a competition for the country's highest performing students in the challenge.These students carry on a tradition of mathematical excellence at John Kyrle High School and a number are planning on continuing their maths studies at top universities.
Headteacher, Nigel Griffiths, said he wanted to congratulate his students on this success and also praised Maths teachers at John Kyrle for their excellent work in class and through the extensive extra-curricular opportunities they offered.
