CADETS, staff and parents from 151(Leominster) Squadron ATC have spent an astounding 350 hours selling poppies this year in support of the Royal British Legion.
Basing themselves in the Morrison's store in the town for the full fortnight of the appeal they have been overwhelmed at the generosity shown by the people of Leominster and the surrounding towns and villages.
Flying Officer Martin Fulloway said 'We are all very proud of the cadets who have given up their free time, sometimes coming straight from school or college to support this year's appeal. We are all amazed at the generosity of the public and we have met many fascinating ex- service personnel and families with stories to tell.'
The squadron hopes to have raised more than they did last year when they raised an amazing total of £7958.08.
