IN October 2005 a small community coffee shop, named Koffi Pot, opened in the Baptist Chapel Hall, Ewyas Harold; originally set up by Joy James (now Reverend at Ewyas Harold Baptist Chapel) and Sharon Jones, it was seen as an opportunity for people to gather on a Friday morning for great conversation, coffee and homemade cakes.

Now run by willing teams of voluntary helpers from the whole village, it is still open between 10.30am and noon every Friday and is regularly frequented by the local community, members of the Hereford Wheelers and those on the health walks around the village.

On October 9, the Koffi Pot celebrated their 10th birthday and to date has sent over £5670 to over 60 plus charities over the 10 years, with another £1000 being sent out this autumn again to a range of local and national charities.
