ST Mary's Church in Kington had additional reason for celebration at its recent Harvest Thanksgiving when they celebrated a special anniversary for their organist and choirmaster.
Bill Preece is proud of his long association with the church where he has worked with no less than six vicars.
Over the past 50 years, he has influenced many choristers together with being a pillar of of services.
On behalf of all who have appreciated Mr Preece's dedication, he was presented with a wooden garden seat following the harvest service at St Mary's.
