THE Friends of Lucton School held a hugely successful afternoon coffee and cake stall, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care, much to the delight of the pupils and parents.
On September 25, the Friends of Lucton School organised afternoon tea with cakes galore to raise money for Macmillan. Lucton's 300 year old Queen Anne dining hall offered a grand setting for the event and the Friends were impressed by the turn out of staff, parents and pupils. £460 was raised and the Friends wish to extend their thanks to all those that contributed.
David Bicker-Caarten, chairman of the Friends of Lucton School said "It's simply brilliant to see such a great turnout, both with cakes being donated, and cakes being eaten! Thank you to everyone that donated time, cake and money to this worthwhile cause."
