THE Mayor of Hereford, Cllr Charles Nichols was the official starter of the annual Hereford Lions Club's classic tractor run from the Herefordshire Riding for the Disabled centre at Holme Lacy on September 27.

Sixty tractors took part in the 30 mile parade around the lanes and villages of south Herefordshire, taking a lunch break by the mast on top of Marcle Ridge with its great panoramic views.

It was the 10th anniversary run and raised over £800 for Riding for the Disabled.

Organiser Mike Hughes said "The weather was perfect and the drivers of the vintage tractors enjoyed some wonderful scenery along the route."
