KNIGHTON Primary School’s junior council including the junior mayor Holly Husbands and Deputy Mayor Robbie Hodnett met with Cllr Chris Branford, Mayor of Knighton for a working lunch at the school.
At the meeting the children found out how to run a meeting correctly, how to set up an agenda, how to talk to each other, take minutes and vote for or against items on the agenda. The council are now ready to hold their first official meeting. Members of the council have been working hard in the school, encouraging pupils to eat fresh fruit and they have been handing out stickers to those who recycle their waste in the proper way.
