ABOUT twenty five members of Tref-y-Clawdd junior rugby club took part in a sponsored challenge to walk or run distances of seventeen to three miles along Glyndwr's Way. The under 14s started their challenge at 8.30am from Llanbadarn Ffyndd and accompanied by organiser Seamus Ryan they walked and ran about seven miles to Felindre Village Hall where they were given lunch by Jayne Harris. The under 12s and some of their parents joined them at noon for the next seven miles. When they reached the end of the Beacon at 3pm the under 10s and under 8s joined along with several more parents for the last three miles to Llangunllo Station arch. That was the end of the official walk along Glyndwr's way and then the walkers walked the last few minutes up hill to Llancoch where they all enjoyed drinks, pork rolls, hotdogs, and other refreshments put on by Vicky Deakins. The walkers have raised over £1,000 and the money will be divided between the Wales Air Ambulance and the Tref-y-Clawdd Junior rugby club. Seamus Ryan who coaches some of the junior players said "they all did it, it was a hard challenge but they all did really well" Seamus also thanked Radnor Hills for donating water and all the parents for their support especially Jayne Harris and Vicky Deakins for the food.
