PRESTEIGNE Carnival took place recently and attracted large amount of people from a wide area.
The event started with a parade led by the town crier, a marching band and then the Carnival Queen, Princess and Prince followed by lots of people dressed in fancy dress and several floats.
The parade made its way to Wentes meadow where Cllr Colin Kirkby mayor of Presteigne officially opened the event and then Carnival Queen, Jenna Niblock was crowned by last years Queen, Jenna's sister Ellie.
On the field there were lots of things to see and do. These included a dog show, fair ground rides, large inflatable, entertainment from the Mighty Smith, horticultural and floral exhibits, competitions, junior football, balloon race, duck race, food and drink music from local singers and bands late into the evening plus more.
