THE 8th annual Mortimer Country Food Fair at Brampton Bryan was officially opened by Edward Harley from the village who is the High Sherriff of Herefordshire.

The event was well attended, organised by Carolyn Chesshire and took place at Aardvark Books in Brampton Bryan. During the day there were lots of trade stalls, many with samples of their produce to try. There were demonstrations, cookery classes for children, music by the Trevor Davies Quartet, an art exhibition and much more. Demonstrations included cookery by Andy Link, head chef of the Riverside in Aymestrey, chalk painting by Dawn Howe who also did some gluten free cookery, and the Teme Side Smokey did a talk about how their business started and a tasting session. Carolyn thanked everyone for attending the event, the many sponsors and everyone who contributed to making the event a success, including the local farmers who allowed use of their land.
