A NEW bench in memory of Jean Kilby who died on September 10, 2013 was blessed by Father Michael of Knighton Catholic church last weekend. Jean was a much loved and admired lady who did lots of charity work in Knighton and for her church. Jean left money to the church and members decided it would be nice to buy a bench in her memory and to tidy up and plant lots of flowers in the church garden. The bench is situated at the back of the Catholic church overlooking the church garden and the Teme Valley. Following the blessing witnessed by several members of Jean's family, members of the church enjoyed cream teas in the garden recently restored to it's former beauty by Will Quan.
