THIS year Teme Valley YFC have achieved something that no other young farmers club in Radnorshire has done before. Teme Valley YFC members with the help of all club leaders and helpers have hosted three Radnor YFC events, stock judging day, field day and the rally day. The club's busy year started back in September when the stock judging day was held at The Rhuvid by kind permission of Bill, Rhona, Cody and Kim Barnett. Some of the club's members took part with Ben Watkin and George Morgan going on to Bingly Hall to represent Radnor YFC and Ella Harris going to Wales field day at Welshpool Livestock Market in the junior stock judging team. The club then hosted the county field day shortly after at Lower Vedwllwyd, Dutlas with kind permission from Julie, Sarah and Danny Bevan. The club came 2nd overall and was a massive achievement for them. Thomas Swancott was 3rd in the lamb trimming and went on to represent Radnor at The Winter Fair at the Royal Welsh Show Ground and Megan Thomas went on to the Spring Fair where she went on to win the painted canvas competition and won the Wales competition. Jess Barrett club chairman said " This buzz from being second pushed us through to the prep for rally day. We started to think about this soon after Christmas by June everything was ready and the 67th annual rally and barn dance was held at the Hendre hosted by Edward, Jayne, Ben, Tom, Ella and Jon Harris. The family worked so hard to get the rally site ready for the event. In the two weeks before the event it was all hands on deck from club members. Teme Valley YFC have been going since 1949 and have never won the county rally so club members were delighted to win their first rally the same year as hosting the event. Jess thanked everyone for their hard work and determination, saying "despite being one of the larger clubs in the Radnor federation it's been a challenging and an experience none of us will ever forget". She continued by saying "We have gone with the attitude what ever will be will be and we can only do our best and it all paid off in the end. To come away from the rally with five cups and the overall winners rally shield was an amazing moment". Club members are now getting ready to send teams onto the Royal Welsh Show in July and then finally a rest for summer. Jess said "We have all benefited from this year and learnt a lot so we would like to thank you all for your support for both Teme Valley YFC and Radnor YFC. We would also like to thank all our club stewards and everyone that helped out on the day without your generosity we wouldn't have been able to achieve what we did".

The club also thanked sponsors Mid Wales Incineration, Morspan, Cargills and NFU Knighton.
