THIS week The Old Railway Line Garden Centre, located in the village of Three Cocks between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, was awarded the title of The Greatest Plant Sales Team in the UK as part of the annual Garden Trade News' Greatest Awards.

Garden centre owner, Mark Cleary attended the awards ceremony held during the HTA National Plant Show and explained; "We are delighted that our hard working plant area team have been recognised by the judging panel within the Small Planteria Team category. We are always striving to offer our customers the best experience possible whilst stocking the best quality plants at affordable prices. Plants and gardening is still the core of our business and our experienced, knowledgeable and friendly staff are always on hand to offer help and advice."

The Greatest Plant Retailing Awards are all about teams of people, for Planteria teams that excel in garden centres. Awards organiser Trevor Pfeiffer said "from the many teams we met on our judging journeys it is clear that garden centre plant retailing standards are being pushed higher and higher - with teamwork and the drive for excellent customer service giving our customers some of the best plant buying experiences in the UK. Garden centre plant retailing is simply great!"

The Old Railway Line Garden Centre is a family run, independent garden centre considered Best Garden Centre in Wales and the West by the Garden Centre Association in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The garden centre provides customers with quality plants, gardening products, indoor and outdoor living goods, pet care products, giftware and furniture.
