A GROUP of Ledbury Rotarians and pupils joined thousands of children, teachers, helpers and Rotarians for the annual Kids Out event considered to be bigger and better than ever before when they visited Cattle Country Adventure Park near Berkeley. New attractions for the children of all ages and abilities included a secret maze, outdoor climbing frame for those with a head for heights, a 'zip-wire', canoeing, bouncy giant pillows, huge slides, trampoline, an indoor beach and much more. After packed lunches the inter-park train took passengers to see the larger animals such as reindeer, wallabies and cattle. The small Animal Experience enclosure permitted children to handle the rabbits and guinea pigs as well as feeding the newly arrived Kune Kune, the curly haired pigs. Rotary District Governor Richard Purdon said "It was a fantastic day for adults and children alike, and to see so many of our young people enjoying themselves goes to the very heart of what Rotary is trying to achieve locally, nationally and internationally."

Julie Rees, headmistress of Ledbury primary school sent her thanks to Rotary president, Mark Waller and the team when she said: "They all had a brilliant day so thank everyone for getting involved and making it happen. For some of our children this is the highlight of their summer as their families may not be able to afford to take them on holiday, it is so appreciated and we are all grateful to the Ledbury Rotary Club for making this annual event possible."
