THE 19 young girls of the 23rd Girl Guides troop at Barrs Court special school in Hereford are planning a trip to Disney World, Paris in August as a very special treat, but first they had to raise the £5,000 cost to get to France. When Hereford Lions Club heard of the exciting venture they sent president Mike Poole to meet the Guides and give them £1000 towards the trip of a lifetime. Said Mike, “The visit to Disney World will be a wonderful experience for the girls and we wanted to help them get the fund off to a good start.”
Trip organiser Emily Hales said: “The funds have been raised by generous supporters and the girls are getting very excited about their departure for Disney World on August 7.”
