A GARDEN make over event took place on May 30 at the children's centre in Knighton.

The under fives committee members, children and volunteers worked hard in the sunshine to create a colourful and inviting outdoor space. This has now enabled the children who attend the Knighton under fives, two and three year old sessions to enjoy more outdoor learning and play opportunities.

Committee member Hannah Davies said "The committee as always were overwhelmed with the generous donations of garden materials made by Homebase in Brecon, Knighton Builders Supplies, Lyonshall Garden Cntre, RG and RJ Bradford, Kington Builders Supplies, B&Q Leominster and Knighton Tyres.

"The committee would also like to make an extra special thank you to Tuffins Mid Counties Cooperative in Knighton who not only supplied an enormous amount of garden materials but also sent members of staff to come and work on the garden too.

"With the support of the generous donations and peoples donation of their time it made the make over a success," Hannah continued.
