FATHER and daughter team Eric Turner and Leila Jackson of T3 Plants, have achieved their ambition to show at the most prestigious flower show in the world. To

celebrate they launched a new Abutilon, at the show in an exhibit entitled A Journey Through Time describing the discovery and development of the genus from the Victorian plant hunters to modern day cultivars.

It is 35 years since Abutilons have been exhibited at Chelsea. The T3 Plants Nursery in Stoke Prior near Leominster holds the National Collection of Abutilons, a collection of over 130 different Abutilons in a rainbow of colours.

The new cultivar Herefordshire Belle which has a profusion of delicate peach bells, helped Chelsea first timers Leila and Eric win a Silver Medal.

The pair, along with garden writer and plantsman Roy Cheek celebrated

" We are delighted with Silver for our first Chelsea. The standard here is incredibly high." Said Leila Jackson. I am proud to have the responsibility for relaunching this wonderful genus of plants on the Chelsea scene."
