THE Rogation walk around the Cagebrook Benefice took place on a bright breezy day.
The day started with Morning Prayer at Eaton Bishop followed by croissants and coffee.
The next stop was Kingstone Church for Holy Communion and the Baptism of Oscar. The landlord of the Bullring very kindly allowed those who required facilities to stop and freshen up.
Lunch was at Thruxton Church and then on to Allensmore where a short reflection was enjoyed with chocolate. Afternoon tea was provided at Clehonger Church. The homemade Viennese Whirls were delicious and provoked many a compliment. The beautiful scones and cakes followed by Evening Prayer set us all up for the last leg of the walk, back to Eaton Bishop to retrieve vehicles.
Six people and a little dog completed the whole walk, but they were joined by various others on the different stages. Many thanks to the kind church members who welcomed everyone at the churches with refreshments and a smile.
