A LARGE exhibition of masterpiece maps from Wales and the Marches will be on display at Aardvark Books in Brampton Bryan until May 17. The selling exhibition will feature over 100 original antique maps of Wales, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucester, this includes many rare and fine examples.
The maps show changes throughout the years with old Radnorshire maps dating back several hundred years showing how place names change Knighton was spelt 'Kinghton' and Presteigne ' Preftayne'. Sheridan Swinson of Aardvark Books said "The old Radnorshire Map of 1645 is one of my favourite with its painted farmer and animals on the bottom corner."
