A RECRUITMENT drive by Hereford Lions Club, the city's most active community service organisation, got off to a good start when four new members were welcomed at a recent meeting. Membership secretary Simon Swancott said: "Anyone wanting to play a part in community work and fund raising while at the same time enjoying lots of social activities will find Lions an interesting and worthwhile club to join."
The latest new members are: (l to r) Chris Lewis, a coach driver, whose father Geoff was a founder member more than 50 years ago; Jay Boodhoo, a retired nursing lecturer; Rob Bennett, a city bank manager and Nigel Williamson, a retired RAF officer and local company director.
