CITY of Hereford Rotary Club have raised more than £1,800 for Nepal in a street collection in the Old Market area.
Club members were joined by members of the Wye Valley Rotary Club and Hereford Wye Valley Inner Wheel Club for the collection which was based around the Waitrose store.
“We are very grateful to Waitrose and to the Old Market site management for allowing us to make the collection,” said the rotary club’s Rob Soutar.
“And especially to the people of Hereford for their generosity.”
The club had already sent a Shelter Box to help the Nepal aid effort.
