Magnificent Max and Monty
LEDBURY shoppers were surprised and delighted to see these magnificent Shire horses pulling the Wadworth Dray and 'parking' outside the Talbot Inn. As part of their tour to all the pubs and hotels that stock Wadworth products, Shire horses Max and Monty, groomed with ribboned manes and glossy coats, behaved perfectly, posing happily for photographs with members of the public. It is a well known fact that horses love mints and Jan Long was able to feed these two magnificent animals whilst Wadwarth staff looked on. Jan said, "it was an amazing experience to be able to stand in between such powerful creatures who patiently permitted photographers and people to clamour around them". Landlord of the Talbot, Andy Ward, snapped the happy moment remarking, "we are fortunate indeed to have these working horses visiting Ledbury, recognising the importance of historic traditions which we aim to keep and support."
