DIVORCE RECOVERY WORKSHOP – A new Divorce Recovery Workshop starts in April to help both men and women whose marriage or relationship has irretrievably broken down. The first thing felt by many people going through a divorce is disbelief. It results in an inability to accept what’s actually happening to them and a feeling that life is out of their control. This is just the first of the topics covered in the series of SIX workshops run by the Malvern branch of Divorce Recovery Workshop starting on Tuesday evening. The branch covers the whole of Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

The workshops help participants understand the experience they are going through. Each workshop starts with a DVD which provides a constructive focus followed by small group sessions that offer a safe and confidential environment in which to discuss and understand personal feelings.

They provide support from others in the same situation, help them to get through the drastic changes in their lives and move forward positively.

DRW offers support to both men and women who have suffered the irretrievable breakdown of a marriage or a significant relationship, whatever stage they are at.

The depth of the emotional suffering felt when a relationship ends is not always realised but the individual usually experiences all the trauma of a bereavement and, sometimes, even more conflicting emotions.

DRW Malvern is part of a non- profit making, national charity. It is self-resourcing, making a small charge, set locally, to cover all overheads. Places need to be booked as numbers are limited.

The venue is in Churchdown Road, Malvern, Worcs. For full details please contact Gill via email: malvern@drw.org.uk or phone Pam on 01432 820316.

NEWSLETTER – Stoke Lacy has its own local newsletter, The Cider Press, and recently published a booklet, We Will Remember Them to commemorate those with local connections who died in the World Wars. It seems that the newsletter is spreading its influence far wider than originally intended and the publishers have recently been contacted by Phill Ward, now living in Sydney, Australia. Look out for your copy now on display just inside Stoke Lacy Church.
