THE 1st Knighton Guides have spaces for more leaders/helpers at their Guide unit. Being a leader or helper is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, do adventurous and unusual activities, earn awards, and provides lots more opportunities. At present there are twenty Guides on the books and a waiting list. Their leader Rebecca Lunn is looking for help to run the unit and make it possible for the girls to do a wide range of activities. Knighton Guides have in the past enjoyed the BIG GIG, Camping, Zorbing, Archery, Crafts, Cooking, Orienteering, Geocaching, Bouldering, and many more activities, but to make all these possible in the future another leader, young leader (14 plus) or helpers are needed. The Guides only meet once a week in the evening in school term time. If you would like to be involved or can offer a few hours to help out on a regular basis please go to the guide link www.girlguiding.org.uk/interested or telephone 01547 520434 to speak to the District County Commissioner Zoe Penlington. No qualification or experience is required.
