DECKED out in top hats, boaters and tabards, the local Marie Curie Team was a splash of yellow in Ledbury's High Street fundraising for this vital cause, and providing the familiar symbolic daffodils.

In just a few hours the collection rose to £850 and organiser Sue Brambell remarked; "This is a wonderful result and we are so grateful to the generous people of Ledbury for helping us raise money needed for Marie Curie nurses and care. Every year, during Great Daffodil Appeal, people across the whole country donate to this UK Charity and show their support. Every donation will help Marie Curie nurses care for someone living with a terminal illness at home, so they can spend more time with the people they love. Thank you to everyone."

Marie Curie Cancer Care care for people with any terminal illness including those with cancer, heart failure, dementia and chronic obstructive airway disease.
