MEMBERS of the public showed their loyal support for the annual Boxing Day hunt which attracted many hundreds of people to Ledbury town centre to witness this traditional colourful event. Horses decked in tinsel were on display with their riders enjoying a glass of warming wine, while the unleashed dogs mingled with the crowds much to the interest of domesticated dogs on leads who were keen to get to know their four-footed acquaintances.

Despite the day being cold and grey, wearing his own equally colourful ceremonial costume was the town crier, Bill 'the Bell' Turberfield who posed happily for photographs while speeches were made and greeted with enthusiastic applause. Horns blew loudly, heralding the start of the 2014 Ledbury hunt and with a clatter of hooves the horses and dogs were on the move up the high street and wheeling right down New Street.

At the Market House the Silurian folk dancers were in full swing with music and singing.
