MEMBERS of the Knighton and District Churches Together lunch club met for their Christmas dinner in Knighton Methodist church. Cook Sue Morris catered for about 50 people who all enjoyed a full turkey dinner followed by Christmas pudding, mince pies, cake and drinks. Knighton and District Rotary Club donated money to buy presents for all the members that were given out during a surprise visit from Father Christmas. Members also enjoyed music from Tom Mosler and sang carols led by Rod. On behalf of committee members of the lunch club, Margaret Davies and Alison Thomas thanked Sue Morris and all her helpers for a wonderful lunch, Knighton and District Rotary club for the gifts, Father Christmas, Tom and Rod for the music, Sue and John Bywater for donating all the vegetables and everyone else who contributes to the running of the popular club. The next lunch club will be on January 12.
