YOUNG musicians took to the streets to raise cash for victims of ebola and laid on some festive tunes for passers-by.
Presteigne violinist John Hymas gathered a group of his pupils just outside the town's Assembly rooms over the Christmas period, where they entertained people with a collection of carols and festive numbers. It's become something of a tradition for the group.
Despite the cold wet and rather windy weather, they raised nearly £200 for Save the Children's Ebola appeal.
Mr Hymas praised the efforts of his young violinists and thanked all those who gave money to the appeal
