THE Shop at Bromsberrow has diversified yet again, by offering IT classes. Bringing in participants with different levels of competency, from those already able to manage their PCs to those who know absolutely nothing about computers, the classes are designed to help anyone looking for some hands-on guidance and practical help.

The purpose-built computer suite was set up by IT manager, James Dowdall who remarked that much of the equipment was donated by generous members of the public and the main items purchased were specialist leads and adaptors, which meant that with little expenditure, the classroom was ready for training sessions provided by Des Auld of Logiplex in Ross. The Computer Club at the Shop is open to anyone at all abilities and levels and they can either bring their own device (advantage - you are getting to know your own systems and equipment), or use one of the computers set up at the shop. Classes will be monthly, covering a different topic each month. Members of the public simply pay for classes that they want to attend. Manager Rachel Hicks said “Many of those attending our first training session have requested a seminar-style class once a month, provided by Logiplex, which will be held in the shop's café area, with unlimited numbers where beverages and refreshments will be available, making the computer club more user friendly. The subject for each forthcoming classes can then be announced in advance.”
