LOVE singing? If you do why not consider joining Kington Community Choir. This new choir started in January 2014 and has gone from strength to strength. From the outset the organisers wanted it to be a community spirited enterprise and have succeeded in making it a fun experience for its members. Members sing arrangements of rock, pop and songs from the musicals under the leadership of Jon Watson, an experienced and well respected choir leader who leads a number of local choirs.

The choir made its first public appearance at the Kington festival in June 2014 when it entertained the festival goers and has been invited to appear at the Kington Food Fair on December 6. It is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to support local events and to fundraise for local and national charities.

We meet on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm during term time at Kington Primary School, Mill Street, Kington. There are no auditions and new members, particularly men, are always welcome. If you would like to be part of this lively and fun choir contact Tina Davison on 01544 262762 or Valerie Whittaker on 01544 260633 for more information.
