THE Countrywide store in Presteigne recently held a special pet weekend. During the event there were refreshments for customers, treats for dogs, a chance to meet six Huntaway cross Kelpie puppies, big dogs breakfast, activities and expert advice from staff and Liz Troman a McTimoney practitioner for animals. The store also launched it’s new bigger range of pet foods and products.

As part of the event there was a raffle and guess the name of the dog to raise money for Dogs for the Disabled that has so far raised £116. Dogs for the Disabled is a life-transforming charity, creating exceptional partnerships between people living with disability or families with a child with autism and specially trained assistance dogs. Through practical tasks dogs can offer freedom and independence to children and adults with physical disabilities, the partnerships they create between people with disabilities and dogs are life-changing.
