AN evening of glitter and glamour was held at Grange Court, Leominster on September 27 to raise funds for Leominster Museum.

Music from the Artisans String Duet came down from the 'minstrels gallery' enhancing the atmosphere, where below a large party, were enjoying an evening of glitter and glamour. Many of the women attending the event were dressed in the period of the roaring twenties and the men in DJs.

The John Abel room at Grange Court was the perfect setting for an amazing display of 1920s fashions including women's dresses, coats, shoes, gloves and handbags. The 1920s items were owned and displayed by Jeffrey Dabbs, who trained as a dress designer, and Myfr W Hughes, who has a keen interest in social history.

The evening was organised by Geoffrey Crofts, who is the president of Leominster Rotary Club and chairman of the Leominster Museum and raised over £1000 for the museum.
