CELEBRATIONS were the order of the day recently for Chloe McLellan, aged 11 years and her cocker spaniel Coco, aged two years.

Chloe, who lives in Evenjobb, and Coco won the first prize for the second year running in the Gun Dog Scurry held at the Kington show on September 13.

The gun dog scurry, a competition where the dog is required to retrieve against the clock, was organised by Vic Olner who has also been Chloe and Coco gundog trainer for the last 14 months. On the day, Chloe and Coco competed against 72 other entries to achieve their win in a time of 12.8 seconds.

Chloe and Coco were presented with their award by Jenny Dennis who is a past president of Kington Horse Show and Agricultural Society .

Chloe's mother, Charlene McLellan said "As you can imagine a lot of hard work goes into training a gundog and at the age of only 11years. I am very proud of them both and very grateful to Vic Olner for all is hard work".
